Description

Census 2020 – California Complete Count invites you to a regional convening to help build your community’s capacity to achieve a complete count during the 2020 Census. This meeting will bring together local leaders in hard to count (HTC) areas. Attendees will learn about Census 2020 state and federal efforts, available mapping and demographic data, and hear from experts about anticipated complete count challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to form partnerships, identify necessary resources, and begin strategizing an effective outreach strategy.

California Complete Count is holding 24 convenings across the state from April to August 2018. The information gathered at these convenings, including community needs, will be incorporated into the Statewide Outreach Strategy and will inform the development and dissemination of useful tools and tactics.

Please join key community leaders and organizations from your area whose voices are needed to ensure a complete count. Representatives from children/youth services, community-based, community resource centers, disabled, education, faith-based, health services, immigrant, labor/union, libraries, local government, non-profit, philanthropic, rural, senior, seasonal farmworkers, and social services organizations are invited to attend.

Please register as soon as possible as seating is limited. Registration closes April 27 or when seating capacity is reached. Remember to monitor your inbox for upcoming convening information. Event sign-in will start at 9 am and the main program will begin at 9:30.

If you have access or functional needs, please contact Alex Cole-Weiss (acole-weiss@ccp.csus.edu or 916.278.5871) by 5:00 PM, April 25.
